"50th birthday 3 nite stay"
This is in an excellent central location in Rembrandt square which has lots of bars and restaurants. It is walking distance to Dam square and u can catch the tram rite outside. A handy tip if u want to travel broadly on the tram is to purchase a 2day ticket for 24 euros. U can catch a train from the airport to central station and then get the tram to Rembrandt plein and travel is unlimited for 48 hrs. The hotel is good the attached restaurant is really great specialising in seafood. We had a fantastic 2 course menu for 28 euros I would recommend the 'hodge podge' starter MMMMMM unreal!! The staff where friendly, we left at 8am and the concierge ordered R taxi and served us a cuppa 2. He asked other people who he knew were going to the airport if they would like to cut costs and share a taxi with us but there were no takers. The only negatives at this hotel are the bathroom configuration is weird as the shower glass is part of the bedroom wall. It is frosted but u can see an outline of ur other half showering. There R also glass doors in2 the bathroom so any ablutions can be heard from the bedroom. We didn't mind but if ur shy about such things?? The only other quibble was the double bed is 2 beds pushed 2gether which is not the end of the world but the bed actually split apart and I fell down in between!! Was funny at time but something holding the beds together would sort that out .... Management?? Other than that I would recommend!!

"February break"
This Hotel is ideally suited for anyone wanting to visit Amsterdam. a direct tramline from the main station stops 250 metres from the front door. The hotel itself is on the edge of Rembrandt Square and centrally located for all of the sites. There are numerous bars and restaurants on the square so plenty of choice for everyone. The hotel is very clean, rooms well decorated and maintained and as we had an internal room also quiet. There were plenty of towels, coffee and Tea, TV, well stocked minibar and a very comfortable bed. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Me and my boyfriend visited here on valentines day, staff are so friendly and welcoming and even upgraded us to an executive suite. Room was spotless, with a gorgeous bathroom and walk in shower. Also a safe and a mini bar. Unfortunately, as me and my boyfriend are young and unaware, we had drank things from the minibar without the staff telling us they was a fixed price, we had 3 miniture bottles of alcohol, a miniture bottle of wine and also 4 canned drinks. As we went to check out, I asked for my £50 deposit and got told that all together for using some of the drinks I had to pay €96, I was so shocked and god smacked with how much they charged us for such little drinks. It was are first little getaway as a couple, but it was too good to be true! Either way it was a great hotel to stay at and a comfortable bed.

"Cheeky weekender"
Stayed for 3 nights. Easy to find. Quiet spacious comfy room. Huge bathroom, clean and modern with separate toilet. Large flat screen TV. View over offices but didn't detract. Didn't really see any staff other than check in/out - which was simple enough. Room was 'made up' each day. Large bar area and nice restaurant attached to hotel. 10 mins walk from station. Rembrandt Square is full of places to eat and there's a lovely bakery/cafe on the same side of the street a little further down that does gorgeous breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel is expensive.

"Great! Better then expected!"
The relation between price and quality is perfect! Located directly in the center of cultural- and night-life of Amsterdam. Staff are very friendly. Breakfasts are rich and tasty. Restaurant and Bar are cosy and relaxing.

Theatre and film

For lovers of cabaret, the playlist of De Kleine Komedie, Amsterdam’s oldest theatre (established in 1786) is worth consulting. Koninklijk Theater Carré is also worth a visit, even if only to see the inside of this lovely building. The cinema Pathé Tuschinski might be a historical building, but you can see all the latest films, the blockbusters as well as the lesser-known films, on the big screen here.

At Hampshire Hotel – Rembrandt Square Amsterdam you’re surrounded by exceptional museums, of which many are within walking distance. The Hermitage Amsterdam mounts exhibitions from the Hermitage in Russia’s St. Petersburg. The Museum Het Rembrandthuis on Jodenbreestraat is the place where the Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn lived and worked between 1639 and 1658. This is where you can learn all about the life and work of one of the most famous Dutch painters. High-profile exhibitions are staged regularly in the Nieuwe Kerk on the Dam. The annual exhibition of nominees and winners of the World Press Photo is one of these. Photography enthusiasts can also visit the Foam Photography Museum on Keizersgracht.
