"Mid Range hotel"
Key words for this hotel are: clean, renovated, modern and a nice feeling to it. The room we had was large enough for two persons, although we did have two separate beds where we opted for one kingsize. Apart from that the beds were ok. There is a minibar as expected and a small oldish tv. Didn't use the wifi. The bathroom is ok. Shower was in the bath. Unfortunately the water pressure and the temperature wasn't great at all. Major letdown of the room. The breakfast is great. Overall reasonable choice in the center of Amsterdam

"Ants 30th Birthday bash"
Nephews 30th birthday group of us including mum and Aunty (moi ta da) All went to surprise him. He was Very surprised putting it mildly. Cold and wet weather didn't stop us enjoying the delights of Amsterdam. Beer bike tour ride around the city Red light district Museums Restaurants "Cafes" Bars And our hotel great location for everything. No lift and stair treads got narrower as you went up a floor. Huge apartment but it wasn't cheap. Staff were helpful and we used the hotel as a bade to do what we wanted to do. Great weekend

"Walk old Amsterdam"
It is outdated with gray scale kind of depressing colors. Rooms and bathrooms are small and can hear some hallway and room noises. But you are in historic Amsterdam, what do you expect if you want to be able to step out the doorway and have the beauty of walking the canals and historic Amsterdam. This hotel was the designate hotel for a meeting my husband was attending so it was not a choice but it ending up working out great for myself (61) and my son (28) to spend the day and evening exploring the old city. I spent hours each day in my room on the computer for my online work and had no problem with the internet but I was on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was typical for the area; rolls, breads, crescents, yogurt, granola, pan each of eggs and bacon and potatoes, cheeses, and slice meats. I gave it an above average due to the ease of location.

"Overpriced and dated"
Whilst in a good location, just off Rembrandt Square in the centre of Amsterdam, this hotel has seen better days and would benefit from some investment. The room was adequate. The walls were 'scuffed' and in need of a paint job. There was a blanket on the end of the bed (blankets should be banished from hotel rooms) with a questionable crusty stain on it, this was hastily removed! The tv wasn't tuned in properly as half of the dedicated channels were missing. On a positive note, the breakfast was good with a wide variety on offer. Also, although deserted on both nights, there is a really nice bar there with great background music playing - a bit of a hidden gem.

"Great location, but rude staff and slow wifi"
Good: Location, location, location. Right on RembrandtPlein. So, there's plenty of restaurants. Coffee shops, tram stops and people all time of the day and night. Bad: The staff are rude and not helpful, rooms are extremely small even by Amsterdam standards and the wifi extremely slow.Room are extremely small, but that is a typical Amsterdam issue.

Amsterdam

Theatre and film

For lovers of cabaret, the playlist of De Kleine Komedie, Amsterdam’s oldest theatre (established in 1786) is worth consulting. Koninklijk Theater Carré is also worth a visit, even if only to see the inside of this lovely building. The cinema Pathé Tuschinski might be a historical building, but you can see all the latest films, the blockbusters as well as the lesser-known films, on the big screen here.

Museums

At Hampshire Hotel – Rembrandt Square Amsterdam you’re surrounded by exceptional museums, of which many are within walking distance. The Hermitage Amsterdam mounts exhibitions from the Hermitage in Russia’s St. Petersburg. The Museum Het Rembrandthuis on Jodenbreestraat is the place where the Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn lived and worked between 1639 and 1658. This is where you can learn all about the life and work of one of the most famous Dutch painters. High-profile exhibitions are staged regularly in the Nieuwe Kerk on the Dam. The annual exhibition of nominees and winners of the World Press Photo is one of these. Photography enthusiasts can also visit the Foam Photography Museum on Keizersgracht.
